TomTom to support Location Context Enhancements for Zenly
TechCrunch Disrupt, San Francisco, September 5, 2018 - TomTom (TOM2) today announced that its Routing APIs and the reverse geocoding part of its Search APIs have been chosen by Zenly, the social map app with leading real-time location technology, to make it easier for Zenly users to gather context about their friends. Zenly’s app lets users see where their friends currently are on a map, allowing them to message them in the app and get information on how to meet up with them.
Anders Truelsen, Managing Director, TomTom Enterprise, said: “Our collaboration with Zenly confirms that our personal approach to delivering high quality Maps APIs is resonating with developers. We’re delighted that a fast expanding start-up is trusting TomTom to support its growth.”
Laurent Cerveau, CTO, Zenly, adds: “Data accuracy is critical to the user experience in Zenly which is why we have selected TomTom as a provider of reverse geocoding and routing data. By using their APIs, we can immediately provide people with relevant information about their friends.”
Developers can easily get going with TomTom Maps APIs, a full suite of location services on TomTom’s self-service developer portal: https://developer.tomtom.com/.
