TomTom partners with the National Park Foundation TO INSPIRE ADVENTURES

Aug 17, 2016

Burlington, MA – August 16, 2016 - TomTom (TOM2) today announced a partnership with the National Park Foundation (NPF), the official charity of America’s national parks. The partnership, launching in conjunction with the National Park Service Centennial year, empowers Americans to get outdoors and explore.

“We are very excited to be a partner of the National Park Foundation and especially at such a milestone moment in national park history,” said Jocelyn Vigreux, president of TomTom, Inc. “TomTom inspires life’s adventures and we are honored to help accomplish this by partnering with an organization that shares in our passion for, and belief in, outdoor exploration.”

“National parks are incredible natural, cultural, and historical resources that offer countless activities that promote active, healthy lifestyles,” said Angela Hearn, interim senior vice president of marketing, communications and corporate partnerships at the National Park Foundation. “Through our partnership with TomTom, we will work together to help more people discover the endless benefits of connecting with their national parks.”

Through this partnership, TomTom endeavors to help to raise awareness, funds, visitation and volunteers for America’s more than 400 parks, monuments, historic properties, symbols of American pride, walkways, trails and programs across the country.  TomTom also hopes to inspire Americans to have “Adventures Worth Sharing” with their family and friends in national parks and public lands.  Further, this partnership demonstrates TomTom’s commitment to maintaining an active lifestyle by encouraging people to get outdoors through their GPS fitness watches and other wearable devices.
