Amsterdam, 20 December 2016    TomTom (TOM2) Automotive has been handed the prestigious Innovation Supplier of the Year award by FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) Group. The prize was awarded during the 2016 “Qualitas” event in Turin, Italy. Recognising the support that TomTom Automotive has provided in creating and introducing new services for FCA brands, it’s the first time that a navigation supplier has received such an important award.

Since our first PND integration almost ten years ago, we now supply three infotainment platforms in different FCA models with software, maps and services. TomTom Automotive is being recognised for the proactive collaboration with R&D in the definition and development of novel features.  Thanks to TomTom technology, FCA is now able to offer the next level of customer convenience in its Connected Live Services, including navigation, real time parking availability and personalised navigation.

The “Qualitas” event, that brings together FCA Group’s strategic suppliers partners with its global management teams, takes place annually. The awards recognise suppliers that have shown extraordinary commitment to innovation, quality, continuous improvement and the Company's Foundational Principles.
