IAA, Frankfurt –15 September, 2015 TomTom (TOM2), a global leader in navigation and mapping products, and Danish Finn Frogne A/S, a Scandinavian manufacturer of taximeter and fleet management systems, today announce a cooperation to offer the taxi trade a fiscal taximeter and mobile dispatching unit based on TomTom’s BRIDGE solution. TomTom BRIDGE is a hardware platform that seamlessly connects business applications with TomTom technology.
Kaare Frogne, CEO, Frogne, said: “As the taxi trade moves towards increased digitisation, it’s only natural to offer mobile solutions that meet drivers’ demands for increased mobility, passengers’ use of mobile, and taxi managements’ concern with ROI in a business where we see shorter investment cycles. But perhaps most importantly, taxi operators are now obliged to ensure full fiscal compliance with the relevant authorities across many countries in Europe. The TomTom BRIDGE delivers an innovative, reliable and robust solution to these needs.”
Sebastien Ruffino, VP Sales, B2B Products, TomTom, said: “We are convinced that the TomTom BRIDGE is the perfect hardware platform for the taxi trade, and today’s announcement with Frogne is the ultimate proof of concept. We’re really excited about showing visitors to IAA the Frogne integration but, more widely, how the TomTom BRIDGE can help any type of business on the move to work more efficiently, saving time and money, and bringing innovative services.”
