Wisconsin Department of Transportation Selects TomTom to Provide Real-Time Traffic Information

ITS America Annual Meeting, Pittsburgh, P.A., June 1, 2015 – TomTom (TOM2) today announces that its real-time traffic* information has been chosen by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). TomTom will provide *real time speed data along selected routes during the reconstruction of the I-39/I-90 corridor, allowing drivers to make informed routing decisions.

“We’re excited that the Wisconsin DOT has selected TomTom to help provide traveller information on roadways during their highway expansion project,” said Ralf-Peter Schäfer, Head of Traffic at TomTom. “We are confident that with *real-time traffic information from TomTom, travellers will reach their destinations more quickly and efficiently.”

TomTom data will be used to help relieve traffic congestion which is anticipated to increase on roadways that are expected to take on more traffic during the I-39/I-90 expansion project.
