TomTom nominates Peter Wakkie as new member of the Supervisory Board

Amsterdam, 20 March 2009 - The Supervisory Board of TomTom N.V. will propose to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, to be held on 28 April 2009, the appointment of Mr Peter Wakkie as a new member of the Supervisory Board. In accordance with the Dutch corporate governance code, his initial term of appointment will be four years. His appointment will be effective as of 28 April 2009.

Peter Wakkie (1948) is a member of the Executive Board of Royal Ahold N.V. He also is Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wolters Kluwer N.V. Prior to joining Ahold, Mr Wakkie was managing partner at the law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. Peter Wakkie will bring extensive management and corporate governance experience to TomTom.
